Who qualifies for NEMT in Cleveland and Lorain?

Non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) is for anyone who can't comfortably drive themselves or use regular transportation to get to appointments. You may qualify if you have Traditional Ohio Medicaid, or if you're elderly, disabled, use a wheelchair, or simply find the trip to an appointment hard to manage on your own.

Does Traditional Ohio Medicaid cover NEMT, and how do I schedule?

Yes. Traditional Ohio Medicaid covers NEMT for eligible members. Check your benefits, then call us at least 24 to 72 hours ahead. We'll ask for your Medicaid number, the appointment details, your pickup location, and anything that would make the ride easier for you. We handle the authorization and billing from there. Private-pay options are also available.

What vehicles do you use, and can you take wheelchairs?

Our fleet includes wheelchair-ramp-equipped vans, the Broda® Traversa™ transport chair, and standard sedans. Every vehicle is regularly inspected and fitted with GPS tracking and secure anchor straps, so your family always knows where you are. We can also rent you a wheelchair for the trip if you need one, $25 per trip, up to 250 lbs.

How much does it cost without Traditional Ohio Medicaid?

Private-pay rates depend on distance, vehicle type, and the level of help you need. Sedan trips generally run $35 to $75 locally, and wheelchair transportation runs $50 to $100. There are no hidden fees, and we can set up standing schedules for recurring appointments like dialysis, chemotherapy, and physical therapy.

What areas do you serve, and do you go long distance?

We serve Cuyahoga, Lorain and Lake counties, including Cleveland, Parma, Brooklyn, Lakewood, Westlake, Strongsville, Elyria, Avon, Lorain, Mentor, Willoughby and Euclid. For specialty care we drive long distance from the Cleveland and Lorain area to Akron, Canton, Youngstown, Sandusky, Columbus, Dayton, Cincinnati and everywhere in between.
